FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Find everything you need to know about booking caregivers, payments, safety measures, and more. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out!
Can families be the first to reach out to professionals on Nurturenet?
Absolutely. You can browse professionals in your area in the “Browse Professionals” section of your profile dashboard and send messages to service providers.
How do I confirm a job with a professional?
All job confirmations and, if applicable, contracts, are settled directly with the service provider through our messaging service in your user profile. You and the professional decide how to secure a job, but we advise that you have a contract written up for the security of all involved.
Can families request proof of licensure or certification to complete certain jobs?
Of course. It is up to the families to employ service providers based on their qualifications. Some jobs, such as babysitting and respite, will likely not require certification.
How do families pay the service providers they hire through NurtureNet?
It is up to the service provider to suggest a payment option. For some, it might be a formal invoice with payment through bank transfer, whereas for some one-time jobs cash might be requested. We recommend requesting an invoice for the security of everyone involved.
As a professional, can I change the rate of my services once a job has been started?
We do not recommend changing the rate of your service mid-job without having a conversation with the family in your care beforehand. However, if you are working towards pricing yourself fairly in relation to your qualifications, this should be done before posting a job.
What if, as a service provider, I don’t get paid for a job?
Our team handles delayed or unfulfilled payment, however we do not claim liability for this. Please re-read our Terms and Conditions, and send us a message at admin@nurturenet.com to learn more about how we can help with non-paying families, and next legal steps to take if the issue becomes more severe.
As a service provider, can I offer more than one type of service to families?
Yes, you can have multiple service types listed on your profile. Indicate services you offer on your CV before uploading it, and you may also post multiple services in different fields as separate jobs (e.g. tutoring and special needs care).
As a parent or family, how do I find the right specialist for my needs on NurtureNet?
You can filter types of services in your dashboard once you create an account. We also recommend reading the CVs of the professionals you are interested in to make sure they understand your needs.
Is NurtureNet free to use for families?
Absolutely. Parents and families pay no monthly fees for NurtureNet.
How do I upgrade my subscription as a service provider:
In “Edit profile” on your dashboard, you will find a “Manage subscription” option, where you can change your monthly option as needed.
Are there subscription add-ons available for professionals looking for more guidance in running their private practice or just scaling their business?
Of course! Head to our Pricing Page to see what each subscription level offers, as well as one-time purchases that will help you with marketing, coaching, and more.
